So, the iPad doesn't seem to like the blogger Compose panel, just as well I do HTML, right?

Scratch that, it's a pain to do the paragraph tags.. I'll update this post when I've found me a better editing tool!

Ok, so trying out the BlogPress app. Given that blogging apps that work with blogger are few and far between (this is the only one >_<) I will have to make do. Enough about the nuts and bolts of posting! There are lots of things going on with craft and pets and life, so here are the highlights.
ANIMALS
Fish
No more Siamese fighting fish - they seem to be too sensitive and fragile. There are now 14 neon tetras and 4 bristle nose catfish, and they are living at Nick's, in a nice big tank, with bubbles and lots of attention :)
Dogs
Pepper now has a BFF - Little Spot!
He is a really sweet mini foxie x something, rescued from Monika's Doggie Rescue. In the early days he wanted to explore his neighborhood, and we had some escapes until we reinforced the back courtyard. One of these escapes was really bad for Pepper, as she got hit by a vehicle while they were out :(
Thankfully, the groundskeeper of a nearby school took her to the vet, and she is all better now, and in some ways better than before - she seems to have realized that life is too short to be scared of cuddles and kisses, and the rattling her brains took seemed to knock some more smarts into this tiny doglet.
CRAFT
After having a crafty hiatus, I'm back into the knitting! Recent projects (which really need to be documented properly!) are:
Nick's "Stargate" Chevron Scarf
This is a long scarf with single eyelet lace chevrons that meet in the middle to form an X. Knitted from a grey woolen yarn with white heathering and slubs, which I reclaimed from a jumper that Jenna was going to donate to charity.
Ribbed for My Pleasure Socks
These are wonderful! They were knitted using the heavyweight Knitters Without Borders from Blue Moon Fiber Arts which was a birthday present. The absolute perfect bedsock - they're warm, have enough room at the cuff to tuck pyjama pants into, and don't come off by themselves!
Jenna's "Edinburgh Branches" Scarf
This WIP is using the Branching Out pattern from Knitty, and the black merino silk Fyberspates Scrumptious yarn which she brought back from Edinburgh in 2009. I think I was just starting on something with this yarn when I stopped posting, and got completely disheartened by Pepper deciding to play kitty cat with the nicely wound centrepull ball of this yarn and making the mother of all knots >_<
IDEAS
I have another skein of the Fyberspates Scrumptious merino silk, in purple (one of my Edinburgh pressies from Jenn), but Pepper also got to that one after I would the centrepull ball (she must hasve smelt me on it or something!), and I don't have the third season of True Blood to help me face the untangling process yet. Spaghetti anyone?
I've got 2 balls of this gorgeous lavender Stella bamboo yarn that I've got no idea what to do with, but it's soo smooth and silky and purdy, I couldn't resist grabbing the last two balls from the bargain bin at my LYS!
There's also the skein of Smashed Blackberries (somewhat ironic, posting from an iDevice, no?) from Yummee Yarn, which I'm going to knit a pair of socks with. I got it in St Louis when I was over there with CKC for the International Convention.
Speaking of singing, I resigned from chorus this week, as the commitment is too much for me at the moment. Maybe if future I'll be up to the challenge again, and be able to devote the time and attention it deserves. I've been thinking about picking up an open adult tap class in Hornsby on a Wednesday night, but will leave some vacuum in my life for the moment, to recover from the overload.
So update/braindump/catchup completed (for now) - will try to be a bit more active in future!
